PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Pledge will be led by either Rick or Greg then followed by the singing of the National Anthem by choir and congregation. NOTE: Two verses will be sung, verse 1 (most well known) and last verse (words on screen):

O thus be it ever, when all shall stand free

between their loved homes and the war's desolation!

Blest the victory and peace, may the heaven rescued land

praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just;

and this be our motto: "In God is our trust!"

And the star spangled banner in triumph shall wave

o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

We just had our veterans stand, recognizing them for their service. But some could not stand because they never returned home. A video montage of images and names of service members from Trinity and around Augusta who were lost on the battlefield will be shown during this song.

GOD BLESS OUR FAMILIES

Youth & Children's Choirs, Two kid soloists

Serves to segue into Founding Fathers video

This chosen land was built from good families with roots of honor running deep.

Embracing truth and right they worked with all their might to save their freedoms and their dreams.

We can learn from the pas as we build today and make our land a better place.

God bless our families, give strength to them that teach of hope and happiness, of life and liberty.

Our nation's heart beats strong when we stand firm upon our founding fathers' righteous creed.

Now we all have the need to be connected to something bigger than us all

United in the cause to nourish tomorrow. The branches of our future will grow tall.

As we work the sacred ground, roots and branches all around

soon a forrest will arise reaching high into the sky.

From our country's fertile soil, God's family we will toil

to help this nation be what He indeed it to be.

VIDEO - FOUNDING FATHERS

God & Country Choir, Orchestra

A video of quotes by our founding fathers that illustrate their belief and faith in God as the laid the foundations of our country.

The final quote is by William Penn:

"Those who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants."

This completely changes the mood and feel of the program.

I WILL STAND

Love Unlimited, Orchestra

How powerful an opportunity to have our high school choir, the future generation of our country, to stand and sing these lyrics. That despite all of the opposition to the truths of God in this country that they will stand upon the truths of Jesus and make Him known.

I see a nation on the brink, I see a people prone to think

that truth is like an ocean wave changing with the tide.

But, for me, there has to be an absolute, a center line.

And it's the Word of God Eternal; the Cornerstone of Christ.

I will stand upon the truth of Jesus.

He's the reason I'm alive so how can I not live to make Him known?

I will give my all and make it count, leave no shadow of a doubt

who He is, who I am. I will stand.

So, when the battle lines are drawn and the winds of change are strong,

and when the voices of this world, they keep on saying wrong is right;

in the face of unbelief, of those who mock and criticize,

I will not back down or waver. Oh, I will be a light.

I will not be shaken for He's the Rock of Ages;

my strength and my foundation!
